MY POLICEMAN MOVIE REVIEW
Tim: All the characters are deeply flawed in My Policeman, there's no doubt about it. None of them are able to be who they truly want to be, and to wrestle with that is quite significant. It highlights the complexity of being a human being and having to deal with the decisions that lead to regret, remorse and unhappiness for yourself and really fuck up other people's lives. You're not meant to agree with anything these people do. You’re meant to just try to understand.
Leigh: I get that. But I think, also, the filmmakers are trying not to make anyone too unlikable. So they're shying away from the hard stuff.
Tim: Oh, gosh, I'm going to have to really rethink my closing on this. I reckon I might…
Leigh: No, you don’t! Stick to your guns, man!
Tim: True, true, true.
Leigh: We're allowed to have different opinions.
Tim: Yeah, but…
Leigh: I might lose a bit of respect for you, but that's fine [laughs].
Tim: I can deal with that. It’s just another day!
