NOBODY MOVIE REVIEW

Leigh: I've got an interesting piece of trivia for you, Tim. So, what's interesting about this film is Bob Odenkirk’s home has been broken into twice in real life. Both times while he and his family were home.

Tim: Really?

Leigh: Yes. He has talked about wondering if he should have done something himself. It must have been a traumatic experience. Nobody is a bit of wish fulfillment, isn't it, for protective fathers everywhere? What would you do in this situation?

Tim: If I had to identify something I'm most terrified of, it’s home invasion. I just cannot comprehend someone invading your personal space and coming in with guns and whatever. I don't know what I would do. I would probably just do whatever they said, to be honest, and wet myself in the process. What about you?

Leigh: I don’t know. I couldn't say. But I think what makes these kinds of films so successful is when you can see yourself in the protagonist’s shoes, and then fantasise about what you would do in that situation. That's what is at the heart of this film.

Tim: Yeah, definitely. It's almost a daydream on screen, isn't it? And if you put yourself in that situation… It's a very good way of putting it, actually.
