Radioactive + Ellie And Abbie (And Ellie's Dead Aunt)
Leigh and Tim talk Radioactive, the story of extraordinary scientist Marie Curie, as well as feel-good Aussie flick Ellie & Abbie (& Ellie's Dead Aunt). Plus, Rams is a roaring (or baa-ing) success; the sequel we're pretty sure no one asked for; and Songbird hits a little close to the bone.

RADIOACTIVE MOVIE REVIEW
Tim: Okay, bugbear for me. Two things. Ageing makeup is hit and miss all the time…
Leigh: Why was Marie Curie (Rosamund Pike) ageing but the men weren’t?
Tim: Thank you, Leigh. You took the words right out of my mouth. The men got a little bit of grey on their beard, but only decades later. Why? Oh my god, why?! It looked really quite cheap. And I get what they were trying to do with the lighting. There was this overexposure, this glow, because it was obviously leaning into the fact that radioactivity glows, I understood the creative decision. But it felt a bit ‘daytime television’ sometimes, which I think affected the impact of the beautiful cinematography that otherwise existed.
Leigh: Do you know what I wrote down? I wrote down CSI. Sometimes it felt like a CSI episode.
Tim: Oh my god, CSI Miami. We're just waiting for—
Leigh: CSI Paris.
Tim: CSI Paris! Oh my god, that's such a good way of putting it.
