AMBULANCE MOVIE REVIEW

Leigh: It's pretty impressive that Ambulance was made on a US$40 million budget. Did you know that, only $40 million?

Nick: I didn't know that. Considering the amount of action in this film and the amount of practical effects and stunts, that's incredible!

Leigh: Yes and I'm going to name drop here. We both got to speak to Michael Bay, very, very lucky ducks that we are.

Nick: Absolutely.

Leigh: And he actually told me that he gets given cars now to smash up. After Transformers, people just give him cars to total in his films!

Nick: I feel like that makes complete sense because I did find that every time I'm looking at the – I mean, the whole film is one big car chase – but when I'm looking at certain cars in the film, I'm waiting for them to crash and explode. So there was so much focus going on the cars. If I owned a car company, it would make complete sense that I would want my car to be front and centre, ready to get destroyed in a Michael Bay movie.

Leigh: I have to say, it's some of the sexiest police cars I think I've ever seen.

Nick: Right! Michael Bay does law enforcement different to everyone else. I think sexy is the appropriate word for a car in this movie.
